Management Development sessions

Team building in Wales

The Business4Life training plan kicks of with a fantastic course at a TYF management training centre in Wales

During a busy two days the group have a chance to get to know each other and the business they will be running. The weekend includes a number of sessions to test and develop people’s perceptions and skills of working in a team. They include:

  • Building and developing a highly effective team

  • Understanding the need to agree clear objectives, planning, controls and monitoring

  • Developing trust, co-operation, support and a vehicle for dealing with (constructive) conflict.

  • To understand and apply the skills necessary to develop sound relationships with other groups.

By the end of the trip, the group is encouraged identify and agree clear roles, responsibilities and leadership within the team.

Strategic direction and business planning
Mission, vision, SWOT and PEST analysis,
stakeholder management

PM - Management reporting
The principles of management reporting, devising suitable reports for Business4Life.

PR & customers
Marketing models and terminology, good customer service, using the press.

Presentation skills
Preparation and delivery of presentations.

Negotiation Skills

Tricks, tips, and theory on negotiation including role play games to help understand your own negotiating style.



Project management
Project lifecycle, planning strategy, managing costs, monitoring and reporting, close out and review.

Finance
Core financial terminology, basic understanding of tools and methodology

Communication skills
To explore and understand how to maximise interpersonal and people skills, increase competence and confidence in exerting a higher level of influence within business.
