B4L 2011 Christmas Success! |
The Business4Life team held a Christmas Market in Bath which was a great success.
Sunday November 13th 2011
The event, lead by Jenny Hill, featured 15 retailers and traders selling their goods at the market, located in a large building off Queen’s Square on Remembrance Sunday.
The Christmas Market was open to the public from 11.30am until 5pm and it was the teams’ job to set up the rooms and tables, man the drinks and cake table and get as many members of the public through the door as possible. The event was advertised locally in the weeks leading up to it.
The team publicised the event on the day through handing out flyers and encouraging people in whilst wearing the tap and toilet costumes provided by Vanessa. They managed to get over 450 people through the doors over the course of the event and feedback from traders was very positive.
Most noted that the market was one of the best organised they had been to and a few asked to be notified if we were to hold another in the future.
The event made the team a total profit of £787.78 and more importantly, got some great experience of what it takes to run an event and how to work as a cohesive unit successfully.

Teambuilding Weekend in Wales! |
Business4Life 2011 kicked off in traditional style with the weekend in Wales.

The highlight of the weekend was of course the fantastic coasteering experience managed by the guys at TYF, and as you can see below, some of the team literally dived into it!
TYF also presented us with fun and challenging team building exercises, pushing our fledgling team hard. There were also interesting and informative theory sessions that got people thinking.
