“WaterAid is the UK’s only major charity dedicated exclusively to the provision of safe domestic water, sanitation and hygiene promotion to the world’s poorest people.

It was set up by people working in the water industry in 1981 and has helped over 7 million people through its projects in 15 countries in Africa and Asia since that time.”

B4L 2011 team

Since its inception and throughout its development, WaterAid’s primary relationship has been with the water industry and its associated contractors and suppliers.

Business4Life presents a unique opportunity for corporate supporters to work closely with with WaterAid through their young trainees, the leaders of the future, taking on the challenge to test out their management skills in a fundraising project with a very specific aim: Income for WaterAid!

There are many winners in this scheme: the participants themselves, the sponsoring companies and especially the beneficiaries of the income raised. Currently, B4L funds are linked with WaterAid country projects in Nigeria, West Africa. Poor communities will be helped to obtain a clean water supply, safe sanitation and the hope for a better future away from extreme poverty.

Business4Life is a win, win, win project for everyone and WaterAid is extremely proud to be the recipient of the final outcome.
